Editing
Edits
Editing is one of my greatest passions. I love forming relationships with authors!

I have critiqued and/or edited over 21 complete manuscripts of fiction, nine of which are currently published. One of my clients is Cheyenne van Langevelde. I provided early reader feedback for her debut novel, Between Two Worlds, and I was her line editor for her book, Dìlseachd: A Stolen Crown. I edited this 87,000-word historical fiction novel using Google Docs.

Van Langevelde's books are sold on Amazon and other major online retailers such as Barnes and Noble. My name has so far appeared in all of her acknowledgments, and van Langevelde continues to be part of my clientele.
I absolutely loved using Bri as my editor! She was not only helpful in her suggestions and advice, especially being sensitive to my stylistic writing, but also went back and looked over portions that I still had questions on, making sure I was 100% confident of where my story quality was. She was also super encouraging, leaving comments about things she loved or enjoyed while reading. Overall, she went above and beyond all my expectations and I'm certain I will be using her services again in the future.

Typesetting
Typesetting plays an important, if unseen, role in the publishing world. I've had the privilege of formatting the interiors of multiple books in reflowable ebook format and print. These books were published by Innovo Publishing LLC and Story-weaver Publishing LLC (pictured), respectively.
Documentation
When I write documentation, I align user needs with organizational goals.

Pictured (left) is a series of process documents that was a collaborative effort with a classmate. We aimed to create a helpful resource for students learning MadCap Flare, an authoring software widely used by technical writers. We created around 60 pages of content, split into three separate, topical documents. My roles included editing, as well as formatting and designing in Microsoft Word.

Design
Logos
I have completed five professional logo and icon designs in Adobe Illustrator for various businesses.
Pictured (top) is a logo for a small insurance company: Octant Insurance. The designs I created for them are used on their website, social media, and stationery.
Another significant client of mine was Jody's Restaurant, a small business that has been operating in their location since 1981. I was able to redesign their logo for them to use in the future. Pictured (bottom) is a branding page I created for them.
Websites
When I design websites, I seek to both meet clients' goals and fulfill users' needs. I have worked with Wordpress, Squarespace, and Wix. I also have experience with blog interfaces.
Pictured is a site I built for a joint freelance editing business I'm a part of, which launched in spring, 2023. I designed the site in Wix and wrote the copy for it. Additionally, I hand-drew each website icon using Adobe Illustrator.
